LOCATION: BRISBANE
As the cold winter breeze sweeps across the ground, we hoist our things into the back of the car and hit the road. It is currently 4am and there is little to no one on the street, making the shadows creep around the headlights and creating it more challenging to spot the wildlife waiting to jump out.
0600hrs
LOCATION: QUEENSLAND/NEW SOUTH WALES BORDER
Around 2 and a half hours in and we have crossed the border into New South Wales, a small state home to the famous Sydney Opera House.
0900hrs
LOCATION: LISMORE
Stopped for breakfast in Lismore, a small city north-east New South Wales. We pulled the car to a stop just outside of Oakes oval, and walked down the road to Eggins Lane. Eggins Lane, or “The Back Ally Gallery”, is one of many streets in Lismore that have been turned into a gallery (Photo above). In Eggins Lane there are over sixty artworks including large scale murals, graffiti art, paste ups, stencils and installations. This outdoor gallery is a colourful destination for all the community to enjoy, and a reminder that street art is thriving as well as a important aspect to the local community

LOCATION: FLAT ROCK
pretty self explanatory, it’s literally a flat rock… Flat Rock is a series of rocks on the edge of Ballina’s coast that have completely flat tops, and make a path out into the ocean. There is also a small campsite called “Flat Rock Tent Park” just inland from the beach.

LOCATION: URUNGA
Urunga is a town of 3,020 people, located south of Coffs Harbour and north of Nambucca Heads. One of the great places to head out on a early mourning walk around the Urunga area is the Urunga boardwalk. This Boardwalk stretches along the banks of the Kalang river to the junction of the Bellinger River and out to the ocean. The Ugrunga boardwalk is hard to miss as it has spectacular views all along the boardwalk, including the Great Dividing Range.

A quick break for lunch in a town called Laurieton.

LOCATION:MOONEY MOONEY RIVER/HAWKESBURY RIVER
Photo above . Mooney Mooney is an amazing town built into the banks of the Mooney Mooney River and Hawkesbury River. This outstanding spot somewhat reminded me of New Zealand due to how the mountains rose up directly from the waters edge. This spot was definitely worth a drone flight, although I am sad to say that I have lost all drone footage and photos of this place except for two, this was a strong yet sad reminder to back up my works. All in all this is a great place to spend an afternoon and explore, as well as have the chance to find a shark egg. As we left this place the sights were not yet over as the Pacific Motorway crosses the river, giving you one last show of the beautiful scenery.
